DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes, we travel to you so you can have a stress free experience. We will travel anywhere in the Chicagoland area (within 20 miles of Bolingbrook) for no charge. If you need us to travel over 20 miles from Bolingbrook, IL, there will be a travel fee of .50 per mile. We will also travel domestically and internationally for events not in the immediate area, please contact us for special pricing.
WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE A TRIAL?
You can do a trial at anytime prior to your event before booking us. For weddings, we suggest that you do a trial 1-2 months before the wedding day. Usually you have a clear vision of your dress, colors, jewelry and your hair length and skin color will be close to what it will be on your big day. Each trial charge is $85 for makeup and $85 for hair.
Trials are preformed at your location if you are within the 20 mile radius of Bolingbrook (not including downtown area), if you are beyond the 20 mile radius, trials will be preformed at a designated location.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT THE TRIAL?
The trial is of the utmost importance to us. We sit down with you and go over your colors, dress style, overall vision and help to create a look that compliments all the details of your event. Each trial session is approximately an hour for each service. We ask that you look through photos of hair and makeup that appeal to you and bring them with to the trial so we can get a better idea of the looks you like and your style.
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
We use professional products, some of which you may have never heard of but are specifically made for makeup artists. We use Temptu, Yaby, Smashbox, Stila, Paula Dorf, Urban Decay, just to name a few. For hair products, we use Aquage, Redken, Artec and Biolage. We stay on top of current trends and only the best products make it into our cases.
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
Yes. We require a deposit in order to hold your event date. The deposit is $100 for one artist, if you require 2, the deposit is $200. Until we receive a deposit, your event date is open for anyone to take. Full payment is due one week prior to the wedding date and the $100 will be deducted from your final balance.
IS THERE A MINIMUM TO BOOK YOU?
Our minimums start at 3 services for Maris and 4 for either Cynthia or Becky.
HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT?
An hour is spent on the bride and 40-45 minutes is spent on attendants for either makeup or hair services. How many artists that will be assigned to your date is based upon your timeline and time allowed.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT?
We need a table to set up, an outlet nearby, good lighting and most importantly, a high stool. Most hotels will bring one up to the room if requested. We bring everything else including mascara and eyelashes.
I'M SCARED TO GET MY MAKEUP DONE!
There are some people who have been traumatized by getting their makeup done and we can honestly tell you that it was most likely because they went to a makeup counter and the salesperson tried to sell them every single product so they put it all on their face. We like for our clients to feel like themselves but a cleaner, prettier version of themselves.
HOW SOON SHOULD I BOOK MAKEUP SERVICES?
We start booking weddings up to a year in advance so the sooner, the better!
